Electric Picnic music and arts festival is an annually occurring event which has been staged since 2004 at Stradbally Hall in Stradbally, County Laois. The festival takes place in September and is less than 20 minutes drive from us here at Killenard Kottage
Another popular event is The Tullamore Show & AIB National Livestock Show which is Ireland’s premier agricultural event. Every year, it attracts the best cattle, sheep, and equine breeders from all over the country. It is Ireland’s largest one-day show, averaging 62,000 visitors in recent years and provides a truly authentic and cultural experience. Killenard Kottage is located approximately a 30 minute drive from Tullamore.
Forest Fest a unique award-winning Irish music festival based in the picturesque Laois village of Emo, located approximately a 5 minute drive. The National Ploughing Championships attracts an average of 80,000 people per day and the famous three day festival takes place every September.
The 2023, National Ploughing Championships will be held in Ratheniska, Co. Laois in 2022, located just 15/20 minutes from us here, making us the perfect choice for accommodation.
